Assigning Tickets

If you have permission to manage ticket inventory, you can assign available tickets to a specific user or make them available through Public or Waitlist. This article explains how to locate available tickets and complete the assignment process.

Overview

The Assign Tickets feature allows you to distribute tickets that are available but not yet assigned.

From the Assign Tickets page, you can:

  • Allocate tickets directly to a user

  • Distribute tickets to a manager

  • Make tickets available as Public

  • Place tickets on a Waitlist

Tickets may appear under different tabs depending on how they were provided to you.

  • Undistributed – Tickets are available but not yet assigned

  • My Allocations – Tickets were given to you to complete

  • My Distributions – Tickets were given to you to manage

Step-by-Step Instructions

Access Assign Tickets

  1. Click Inventory in the top navigation.

  2. Select Assign Tickets.

Locate Available Tickets

  1. Use search filters such as:

    • Event

    • Event Date

    • Ticket Category

    • Artist, Team, or Venue

  2. Click the appropriate tab (for example, Undistributed) to view available tickets.

  3. Click Assign next to the ticket row to begin.

Select Quantities

  1. Choose the number of Tickets to assign.

  2. Select Parking quantity if applicable.

Choose Assignment Type

Select the appropriate Assignment Type from the dropdown.

Allocate to User

  • Assigns tickets directly to a specific user.

  • The selected user will complete the order details.

Steps:

  1. Choose Allocate to User.

  2. Select the user from the list.

  3. Click Create Assignment.

Distribute to Manager

  • Assigns tickets to a user with higher permissions.

  • That manager can further distribute the tickets.

Steps:

  1. Choose Distribute to Manager.

  2. Select the ticket manager.

  3. Click Create Assignment.

Public

  • Makes tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Once requested, tickets are removed from availability and routed for approval (if applicable).

  • If no manager is configured, tickets may be awarded automatically.

  • Visibility settings may control which employees can see and request the tickets.

Steps:

  1. Choose Public.

  2. Select visibility settings if required.

  3. Click Create Assignment.

Waitlist

  • Makes tickets available through a request-based process.

  • A designated waitlist approver reviews and approves or denies requests.

Steps:

  1. Choose Waitlist.

  2. Select the waitlist approver (default or another approver).

  3. Click Create Assignment.

Review and Confirm

  1. After creating the assignment, click Continue.

  2. Review the assignment details carefully.

  3. If everything is correct, click Confirm Assignments.

The tickets are now assigned according to your selected assignment type.

What Happens Next

  • Allocated users can complete the order details.

  • Managers can further distribute tickets if assigned.

  • Public tickets become available for request.

  • Waitlist tickets are available for submission and approval.

Important Notes

  • You must have the appropriate permissions to assign tickets.

  • Once confirmed, the assignment takes effect immediately.

  • Visibility and approval requirements depend on your organization’s configuration.
