How to Backfill Unused Tickets
Backfilling tickets allows you to assign unordered tickets to the employees that used them in order to capture attendance and usage details. You’ll select the number of tickets, assign them to a recipient, and choose a usage category before confirming the backfill.
Access Backfill Tickets
- Log in to TicketOS.
- Navigate to Inventory.
- Click Backfill Tickets.
- Locate events or tickets listed in the Unused Queue.
Use Filters to Find Tickets
- Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow your search:
- Event View/Venue View
- Date
- Ticket Category
- Search (to find a specific event)
Expand Events or Venues
- In Event View or Venue View, click the arrow next to an event or venue to expand details.
- If using Venue View:
- Click the arrow to expand the venue.
- View available ticket locations.
- Click the arrow next to a ticket location to see event dates.
Backfill Tickets
- Select the quantity of tickets you want to backfill.
- Enter the name of the user you want to assign the tickets to.
- Choose a usage category.
- Click Create Assignment.
- Review the Assignment and Click Continue.
- Review the backfill details.
- Click Confirm to complete the process.
What Happens Next
After confirmation, the tickets are assigned to the selected user in Confirm Guest List status. The user must complete the required guest information before the tickets are finalized. Once submitted and confirmed, the order will move to Confirmed status.
Common Issues
- Unable to find tickets: Check filters or switch between Event View and Venue View.
- Missing event details: Make sure all sections are expanded using the arrows.
- Incorrect assignment: Review details carefully before confirming.
Important Notes
- Tickets must be in the Unused Queue to be backfilled.
- The assigned user is responsible for completing guest information.
- Orders are not finalized until guest details are submitted and confirmed.
