Reclaiming Tickets

If you have permission to manage ticket inventory, you can reclaim tickets from an existing assignment and reclaim them. This article explains how to locate tickets, choose a new assignment type, and complete the reclaim process.

Overview

The Reclaim Tickets feature allows you to:

  • Remove tickets from a current user assignment

  • Reclaim tickets to another user

  • Move tickets to Public availability

  • Move tickets to a Waitlist

This feature is available to users with the appropriate inventory permissions.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Access the Reclaim Tickets Page

  1. From the home page, click Inventory.

  2. Select Reclaim Tickets.

Locate the Tickets

Use the available filters to find the tickets you want to reclaim. You can:

  • Filter by Event or Venue

  • Search by the assigned user

  • Filter by Public, Waitlist, or Survey

  • Enter a specific Order Number

Once you locate the correct order:

  1. Expand the arrow next to the order.

  2. Click Reassign to begin.

Set Reassignment Details

  1. Select the quantity of tickets to reclaim.

  2. Choose the new Assignment Type.

You have the following options:

Allocate to User

  • Assigns the tickets directly to a specific user.

  • The user will then complete the required order details.

Public

  • Makes tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Once requested, tickets are removed from availability and routed for approval (if applicable).

  • If no manager is configured, tickets may be awarded automatically.

  • Visibility settings may control which employees can view and request these tickets.

Waitlist

  • Makes tickets available for request through a waitlist process.

  • Requests are reviewed by a designated waitlist approver.

  • You must select a waitlist approver when choosing this option (either the default approver or another available approver).

Confirm the Reassignment

  1. Click Create Assignment.

  2. On the review page, click Continue.

  3. Click Confirm Assignments to complete the reclaim process.

The tickets are now reassigned based on your selected assignment type.

Alternative Ways to Start the Reclaim Process

You can also begin reclaiming tickets from other areas of TicketOS, including:

  • The View Tickets page within an event

  • The Order Summary page when viewing an order

  • Sections such as Employee Orders, My Orders, or Waitlist Requests

What Happens Next

After confirmation:

  • The tickets are removed from the original assignment.

  • The new assignment type takes effect immediately.

  • Users will see or receive access to the tickets based on the assignment type selected.

Important Notes

  • You must have the appropriate permissions to reclaim and reassign tickets.

  • When moving tickets to Waitlist, a waitlist approver must be selected.

  • Public ticket visibility may vary based on your organization’s configuration.
