Requesting Public or Waitlist Tickets
Some tickets in TicketOS are available to request rather than immediately reserve. These may appear as Public tickets or Waitlist tickets, allowing multiple employees to request the same inventory. This article explains how to submit a request and what happens after it is placed.
Overview
Public and Waitlist tickets allow employees to request tickets that are available to multiple users.
When you submit a request:

The request may go through an approval process depending on your organization’s settings.

The order status may appear as Pending or Waitlist Pending.
In many organizations, requests are reviewed before tickets are awarded to ensure fair distribution and proper business use.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Select Tickets

Go to the View Tickets page for the event.

Locate the Public or Waitlist tickets available for request.

Select the quantity of tickets you want.

Click Request.

Review Ticket Details
You will first see the My Tickets step, where you can review:

Event information

Ticket quantity
-
Seat details
Click Continue to move to the next step.

Add Guest Information

Select the Usage Category that best describes how the tickets will be used.

Select the quantity of tickets for the first guest.

Choose the Guest Type, such as:

Employee

Contact
-
System Profile
-
Myself

Search for the guest and click Add to include them in the guest list.

Repeat this process until all tickets have been assigned to guests.

Depending on your organization’s setup, you may also need to complete additional required fields before continuing.

Enter Delivery Information

Select which guest(s) should receive the tickets.

Choose the delivery method.

Select the delivery address for each guest.

Click Create Shipment to create the shipment for those tickets.

Continue creating shipments until all guests have been assigned to a shipment.

Click Continue to proceed to the final step.
Review and Submit Your Request

Review all ticket, guest, and delivery details.

Make edits if necessary.

Click Place Order to submit your request.

You will see an Order Confirmation page confirming that your request was successfully submitted.

What Happens Next
After submitting your request:

The order will appear in My Orders.

You will receive updates as the request progresses.

Depending on your organization’s configuration, the request may require approval or review.
If approved or awarded, the tickets will move forward through the normal delivery process.
