Transfer SeatGeek Tickets to Another Attendee

This article explains how to transfer SeatGeek tickets to another attendee. Transferring tickets allows each person attending the event to access their own ticket on their mobile device.

Overview

SeatGeek allows ticket holders to send tickets to another attendee using the Transfer feature. When you transfer a ticket, the recipient will receive a notification that tickets were sent to their email address.

If a SeatGeek account already exists for that email address, the tickets may appear in that account after signing in. If no account exists, the recipient may be prompted to create one using the same email address.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the SeatGeek mobile app on your device.

  2. Sign in to your SeatGeek account.

  3. Tap the Tickets tab.

  4. Locate the event that contains the tickets you want to transfer.

  5. Select the event to view your tickets.

  6. Choose the ticket or tickets you want to send.

  7. Tap Send or Transfer.

  8. Enter the recipient’s email address or mobile phone number.

  9. Review the transfer details.

  10. Select Send Tickets to complete the transfer.

What Happens Next

After sending the tickets:

  • The recipient will receive a notification that tickets were transferred to them.

  • If an account already exists for the email address used, the tickets may appear in that account after signing in.

  • If no account exists, the recipient may need to create an account using that email address to access the tickets.

Once the tickets appear in the recipient’s account, they can open the tickets on their mobile device for event entry.

Common Issues

Recipient cannot find the transferred tickets

  • Confirm the correct email address or phone number was used when sending the tickets.

  • Ask the recipient to sign in using the same email address where the tickets were sent.

  • If multiple email accounts are used, the recipient may need to try signing in with another email address.

Transfer option is not available

Some events may limit ticket transfers. If the transfer option is not visible, ticket transfers may not be available for that event.

Tickets were sent to the wrong contact information

If the tickets were sent to the wrong email address or phone number, you may need to cancel the transfer and send them again using the correct information.

  • Tickets must be transferred using the recipient’s email address or phone number.

  • The recipient may need to sign in using the same email address used during the transfer.

  • Mobile tickets must usually be displayed on a mobile device for entry.
